A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit Station F, following in the steps of prestigious visitors such as Anne Hidalgo, Sadiq Khan (Mayor of London), François Hollande, etc. All of Europe is excited about what will be in a few months’ time the world’s biggest startup campus.
For those who perhaps don’t know about Station F (but does that leave anyone?), it is a huge campus at the heart of the 13th arrondissement in Paris created on Xavier Niel’s initiative which will become the European platform and hub for innovation and entrepreneurship..
Station F is incredible. More than 1000 startups will be gathered together in a unique 34,000m2 space with 60+ meeting rooms, 3000+ startup desks… and no less than 600 toilets!
Station F is often presented as an incubator but it is going to be much more than that. Let us tell you more about it. Station F is:
· A real campus
Within the Halle Freyssinet in the heart of Paris’ 13th district and redesigned by agency Wilmotte & Associés, Station F is a real campus for startups. Like the best campuses in the world, there will be work spaces, an auditorium, chill-out zones and bars. It will house entrepreneurs, talent, partners, investors, incubators and anyone else who can contribute actively to the ecosystem.
· International
Station F will welcome startups from all over the world. It is expected that a lot of startups will come from outside France. So it doesn’t matter if you’re not Parisian or French. Wherever you’re from, you can apply to join this amazing program. Station F will even provide accommodation in the form of co-living spaces in Ivry Sur Seine for teams coming from outside Paris.
· Field & development stage agnostic
Station F is not dedicated to one specific kind of startup. Its vocation is to bring together crazy teams who will build tomorrow’s companies, whatever your sector, industry or development stage. Therefore all kinds of startup are more than welcome. The Station F team have organized everything to help you achieve your high ambitions: fab labs, 3D printers, wood and metal workshops will all be made available at affordable prices.
· Startup first & all-inclusive
Everything is designed with the startups’ best interest in mind. Offices will stay open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for members.
